SSA on Humanitarian Affairs to the President Empowers 52 Nigerians Across Geopolitical Zones
In a commendable move to address pressing national challenges, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Humanitarian Affairs has launched a strategic empowerment initiative focusing on data processing, climate change, poverty reduction, and health. This program, aimed at building national capacity and fostering resilience, has already impacted 52 Nigerians selected from all six geopolitical zones of the country.
The initiative reflects the administration’s broader commitment to inclusive development and sustainable solutions in tackling humanitarian concerns. By equipping beneficiaries with critical skills in data processing and environmental management, the program aims to empower individuals not only to uplift their communities but also to contribute meaningfully to national development.
During the launch event, the SSA emphasized the importance of grassroots engagement in combating poverty and improving public health outcomes, particularly in underserved and climate-vulnerable communities. The selected beneficiaries will undergo intensive training and mentorship to support initiatives related to environmental protection, health advocacy, and digital literacy—key tools in Nigeria’s push toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“This is more than an empowerment scheme—it is a nation-building project,” said the SSA. “These 52 young leaders will become ambassadors of hope and progress in their various regions.”
The beneficiaries, drawn from Nigeria’s North Central, North East, North West, South East, South South, and South West zones, were selected based on merit, leadership potential, and commitment to community service.
As the initiative continues to unfold, it is expected to serve as a model for regional development and capacity-building in other sectors of the country.
