Federal Government to Disburse YEIDEP Grants to Youth Entrepreneurs in July
The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced that disbursement of grants under the Youth Empowerment and Innovation Development Programme (YEIDEP) will commence in July 2025.
The initiative aims to provide non-repayable, interest-free grants ranging from ₦50,000 to ₦500,000 to young entrepreneurs across the country. Over 4.6 million applications were received before the May 31 deadline, reflecting the program’s popularity and the high demand for youth-focused economic support.
The grants are intended to fund small businesses, particularly in agriculture and related sectors, to stimulate economic growth and reduce unemployment. Beneficiary engagement is scheduled between June 1 and June 8, followed by the disbursement phase from July 1 to July 31.
Applicants are encouraged to check the official YEIDEP portal for updates and further instructions. The YEIDEP initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to empower youth, promote entrepreneurship, and enhance food security.
By providing financial support to young agropreneurs, the program seeks to foster innovation and self-reliance among Nigeria’s youth population. Officials have emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in the disbursement process to ensure that the funds reach the intended beneficiaries and achieve the desired impact on the economy.
